I’ve decided that the old bike needed some new parts.  I was not horribly impressed with her braking power so I decided to make some improvements.  Phase 1 was replacing the master cylinder, installing new EBC pads and new stainless lines.  Phase 2 is replacing the 35 year old rotor with a bigger and better EBC disk.

Before:

Old ratty rotor...

After:

Shiny new EBC!

Here’s the new rotor on the bike for an idea of how it looks.

The rotor fit’s up perfectly with only slight *modification and the new material should allow the pads a little more bite.

That’s all for today!  Keep checking in to the TPR site for updates to the laundry list of upgrades and replacements leading up to this riding season!

*Modification- The pads on non F models will interfere with the rivets on the rotors and need to be trimmed. The simple fix for this was removing the bottom 1/8″ of both pads with a hack saw.
