The other door has a much larger crack, but the repair process is the same.  It starts with collecting some basic materials.  A set of Cleco pins, small sheet of steel, a drill, sander, and welder.

I began the process by stripping the paint from the surface, then drilling a hole in the bottom of the crack to prevent spreading.  This is followed by making the reinforcement plate and drill the holes to place the Cleco pins into.

I have also drilled a few additional holes for additional reinforcement to the plate.  After this its time to weld.  Please excuse my welds, I am by no means a professional welder.

After this it’ll be a little body filler and paint and it’ll look as good as new.  The door should also be stronger then before so this sort of thing should not happen again.
